Students will learn the benefits of side-lying massage, as well as, the contraindications, and current research.
Students learn many advanced massage techniques for the low back, hips, neck and shoulder, including PNF stretches, and other passive and active movements aimed at helping dysfunctional joints and soft tissue.
Students learn physical and mental pathologies of aging, (such as, skin changes, foot care, edema, heart and lung issues, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, digestive conditions, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Dementia, and many more) as well as, the social-emotional challenges the aging community face during the later changes of life.
Students learn tools to work with women before, during, and after pregnancy. Classes available for infertility, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, infant massage, pediatric massage, including special needs, NICU/medically fragile babies, adoption/foster care, and more. Students can learn to be instructors and work with families to help them bond.
