TRAINER BIO

Tammy Roecker has been an Arizona State Licensed Massage Therapist, Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and active member of the American Massage Therapy Association for over 20 years with additional certifications in Pre/Peri-Natal Massage, as well as being a Certified Personal Trainer through AFAA with extra training in Perinatal Fitness.  She is also Certified as a Birth Doula, and Childbirth Educator through Nurturing Hearts Birth Services of AZ.  She has a history as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and Trainer for 10 years before forming her own organization. Although she works with all ages and types of people, and has a wide range of continuing education in everything from Rolfing to Reiki, her favorite work is Perinatal Massage and helping families bond.  She strives to inform and empower women and their families, so that through nurturing touch and compassionate dialogue, these families will have an environment to maximize that infant’s potential and encourage family bonding that will last a lifetime, as well as, creating a more peaceful society.

Family Centered Caregiver Recognition Award!!
The Family-Centered Caregiver Recognition Project serves to honor and celebrate Arizona birth professionals who provide exemplary care, as defined by The Coalition for Improving Maternity Services These individuals base their practice on a philosophy of care that is family focused, mother-friendly and evidence-based. They work to improve the conditions under which women labor and birth, and actively discourage, or work to change practices that are not in the best interest of mothers, babies and families. Professionals who directly provide care to pregnant or birthing women/families in Arizona, or who otherwise has impact on their care and/or experience (through volunteer work, policy change, etc.) is eligible for this award.
